Pregnant women are the target of the international conference “Cioccolato, donna, gravidanza” to be held, on the occasion of the exhibition, on October 19th and 20th. Organized by Prof. Gian Carlo Di Renzo, Director of the Gynaecology Clinic and of the Institute of Perinatal Medicine of the University of Perugia, the conference will present to the public the new and interesting data concerning the effects of chocolate (70% cocoa) on pregnancy. Recent studies conducted by Professor Di Renzo’s team, in fact, show how a simple bar of dark chocolate a day is an excellent food supplement as it lowers cholesterol levels and decreases the risk of anaemia and of gestosis.
The conference “Cioccolato, Donna, Gravidanza” will also be the right stage for presenting Dolceattesa, the first folic acid* food supplement that also satisfies the craving for chocolate, produced by Truffini&Reggè Farmaceutici and distributed by Costruttori di Dolcezze.
Dedicated to future mothers, Dolceattesa is a sweet dark chocolate pastille made with 70% cocoa and folic acid. Two of the twenty-four pastilles in the package are enough to provide an expectant mother with her daily requirement of folic acid, equivalent to 400 mcg.
